Major responsibilities include
-
Track developments on Server H/w storage and networking side from major vendors including IBM, HP, Dell etc.. Keep abreast of the latest developments.

Experiment with the latest H/w available for the most optimal configuration of the H/w-S/w combo.

Execute performance test scenarios, tracking and reporting on key performance metrics for all DMG products

Work closely with the R&D and the Application Engineering team to set expectations, present benchmarks, suggest best practices for getting maximum performance from the applications

Testing products against different hardware vendors, multiple platforms and configuration combinations to benchmark product performance

Tune systems for optimal performance

Develop work plan, testing approach, and detailed performance test plans for new releases

Profile slow performing areas of the application and identify bottlenecks and opportunities for performance improvements

Thoroughly analyze, log performance issues and work with R&D on timely resolutions

Manage and maintain the performance test environment including customer test cases , configuration and scenarios, performance test data, scripts, and tools, logs etc
- Hardware administration
- Good knowledge of Hardware administration including knowledge of IT hardware, network turning, SAN/NAS and related technologies
- Experience in performance diagnostics, capacity planning, performance tuning, performance monitoring
- Knowledge of latest technologies, tools, IT environment related to product performance.
